Valencia College is a public institution located in Orlando, Florida. It is a part of the Florida College System. Valencia College was founded as Valencia Junior College in 1967. It changed its name to Valencia College on October 10, 2010, and now offers bachelor's degrees. Although the college is named differently than other local colleges in this area, it offers many different bachelor's degree programs.

Associate in Science

Students who are interested in pursuing a career as a scientist can apply for the Associate in Science program. Students will only be able to take one or two courses depending upon the chosen metamajor. The first 18 credits in the program serve as general education requirements. Students are required to take math courses that relate to their chosen major. Students who complete this program can transfer to university.

The Associate Degree in Science program prepares students to pursue a rewarding career in a dynamic and growing field. This degree can easily be obtained in two years of continuous study. After completing the program, students are eligible to work in a wide range of fields and then continue their education. Valencia College also offers the opportunity to transfer an Associate's degree into a bachelor's program.

Valencia College offers many opportunities for associate in arts programs. The Orlando-based institution is part of the Florida College System. Associate in Arts and Bachelor of Applied Science

Valencia college programs are a great choice for students who want to earn their associate's degree while pursuing their career goals. Students can complete the requirements of these degree programs in as little as two years. They range in level from Associate in Arts to Bachelor of Applied Science. However, students with previous academic probation will not be allowed to continue their studies. Before you register for classes, it is important that you consult an advisor.

Valencia College offers an Associate In Science (A.S.). degree in plant science. Students can choose to concentrate in landscape design, horticulture, or greenhouse operations, or transfer to a four-year university and pursue a bachelor's degree in horticulture. Students learn about greenhouse operations and plant propagation. Students are also given hands-on exposure to the latest equipment and tools in the college's laboratories.
